Thank god, there are a few people, very few that care enough about whales and other species tyo actually do something about it. It is too bad that there are not more like minded people like Paul Watson in this world. Man will not be happy until every whale is taken from the seas. These are just corporate buffoons that take aim at the Sea Shepard. They are the same people that love to go see the Orca's at Sea World.

Whaling

Even though I'm anti-whaling, I have to disagree with the above post. Obviously, serious whalers won't be happy when "every whale is taken from the sea." I believe that they believe that whales are a legitimate, renewable source of food and useable by-products. Of course, this has as much weight as magical thinking with me, but that's a very big part of what it takes to keep our species from becoming thoroughly homogenized. I also doubt that whalers have the time, money or energy to visit SeaWorld. In fact, I'm fairly certain that those who hunt whales for cultural/traditional reasons are most likely as offended by the exploitation of marine animals in amusement parks as those of us who find whaling abhorrent. I do agree that Paul Watson has succeeded in getting under the pro-whaling community's not so thick skin, and my advice for all the pro-whalers out there with women in your lives, or who actually are women - make sure you stop shopping for shampoo at Lush stores, as they've just gone into a fundraising partnership with SS. That will just leave more of their amazing products for the rest of us to enjoy!
